GENERAL

  • Are there any restrictions on vessels whose previous port call was from COVID -19 high risk countries?
    • Borders are closed to vessels from China, South Korea, Italy, Iran and Spain, United States of America and the whole of Europe, including United Kingdom, within 14 days prior to arrival in Fiji.
    • All container vessels destined for Lautoka to be rediverted to Suva
    • The Fiji Port Corporation Limited to provide container storage for the remaining 10 days as a consequence of the lockdown for Lautoka
    • Are there any restrictions on crew who embarked from COVID -19 high risk countries or specific nationalities?
      • Crew change permitted?
        • No
      • Shore leave permitted?
        • Yes but subject to border agency's discretion
      • Any other restrictions due to COVID - 19?
        • No crew of vessels are to disembark and minimal contact with dock workers is to be strictly observed
        • From midnight 19th March 2020, anyone entering Fiji from any overseas destination will be required to self-quarantine for 14 days, meaning they must stay in one place and avoid contact with others or going out in public as much as possible

      Flight Restrictions

      • Passengers entering or transiting through Fiji must have
        • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before departure; or
        • a COVID-19 recovery certificate and a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they received one dose; or
        • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with a vaccine not accepted by Fiji and received a booster dose with a vaccine accepted by Fiji.
          • Vaccines accepted are AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinovac, Sinopharm (BIBP) and Sputnik V.
        • This does not apply to passengers younger than 16 years traveling with a fully vaccinated parent or guardian.
      • Passengers must have travel insurance to cover COVID-19 expenses.
        • This does not apply to nationals and residents of Fiji.
