PORT OF WALVIS BAY, PORT OF LUDERITZ

• Are there any restrictions on vessels whose previous port call was from COVID -19 high risk countries?
• Crew onboard from all foreign vessels must wear a face mask and hand gloves.
• All vessels calling Namibia will have a 14 day quarantine before berthing.
• All medical evacuation from vessels from affected areas need to be screened by port health before person taken off vessel
• Prior to boarding a vessel, call up port control and confirm free pratique has been received and also esquire about the last three ports of call. Security to also check with ISPS pre-arrival notification.
• Upon boarding, confirm Health status of crew with the master
• Port Health Declaration also required for off port limit transfers
• Captain of vessel to confirm in writing stowaway sweep was done when departing last port Stowaway search may be requested to be done alongside at vessels cost using stowaway sweeper companies whose members have undergone training and/or awareness on Corona Virus disease.
• All masters of vessels must report stowaways on his vessel if calling from affected area - vessel to remain at anchor until stowaways are examined and cleared by port health or otherwise advised.
