GENERAL

• Are there any restrictions on vessels whose previous port call was from COVID -19 high risk countries?
• For vessels or crew that left mainland China after 2nd February 2020, the crew will stay on the vessel. If they are required to interact with port or border agency staff, the port or border agency staff will use the health and safety advice provided re respiratory protection and use of PPE
• Illness is expected to be reported as part of the advance notice of arrival process submitted at least 48 hours before the vessel arrives and the health status update 12 to 24 hours before arrival.
• To inform the assessment of the state of health on the ship, and to ensure health officials can be prepared for any potential health response for a vessel, additional questions are now being asked as part of the health clearance process (advance notice of arrival and no change of health status messages). The three questions will be updated in the no change of health status form to read
• Has the vessel departed or transited through any overseas port in the last 14 days?
• Are there any passengers or crew on board who have departed, or...

• The following passengers are allowed to enter
• nationals of New Zealand;
• permanent residents of New Zealand;
• partner or dependent child of a national or a permanent resident of New Zealand. Their visa must be based on the relationship;
• nationals and permanent residents of Australia;
• passengers with a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA);
• passengers with a visitor visa issued by New Zealand;
• passengers with a Resident Visa applied for on or before 30 November 2021. They must be arriving in New Zealand for the first time as the holder of that visa;
• passengers with a Resident Visa applied for on or after 1 December 2021 and issued under the 2021 Resident Visa Category;
• nationals of Ukraine with a visa issued by New Zealand.
• Transiting through New Zealand is only allowed at Auckland (AKL) for a maximum of 24 hours.
• Passengers are not allowed to transit through New Zealand to China (People's Rep.).
• This does not apply to nationals of China (People's Rep.) arriving from Cook Isl., Fiji, Niue, Samoa, Tonga or Vanuatu.
