Port Restrictions

GENERAL

  • Are there any restrictions on vessels whose previous port call was from COVID -19 high risk countries?
    • The ship master of all vessels coming to Solomon Islands are mandated to report, upon arrival, presence of sick person on board using the Health Declaration part of the Maritime Declaration of Health as applicable
    • The SIG has currently designated Honiara Port and Noro Port as the only approved Entry and Exit points of clearance. Approvals shall be conditioned to presentation of mandatory minimum documentation detailed in the Customs directive and/or requested by the Solomon Islands Government
    • Are there any restrictions on crew who embarked from COVID -19 high risk countries or specific nationalities?
      • Crew Change permitted?

        • Any other restrictions due to COVID - 19?

        • Passengers must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 4 weeks before arrival.
        • Vaccines accepted are AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), CanSinoBIO (Convidecia), Covaxin, Covovax, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm (BIBP) and Sinovac.
          • This does not apply to
            • nationals of the Solomon Isl. with a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before arrival;
            • passengers younger than 12 years with a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before arrival.
        • Effective 28 November 2022
          • Passengers must obtain a travel authorization at https://solomons.govtas.com/. They must upload
            • a vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 4 weeks before arrival. Vaccines accepted are AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), CanSinoBIO (Convidecia), Covaxin, Covovax, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm (BIBP) and Sinovac; or
            • a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point; or
            • a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued at most 3 months before departure from the first embarkation point. Â
