Port Restrictions

GENERAL

  • Are there any restrictions on vessels whose previous port call was from COVID -19 high risk countries?
    • For all vessels, free pratique will be granted at Anchorage (Except Gabes and La Skhira) which will be supplied by Quarantine Officer
    • Each vessel coming for commercial operations will be checked at anchorage by quarantine officers, if she receives free pratique she can then proceed to berth subject to berth availability
    • Master to inform Agent prior to vessel’s arrival if there is any suspected case on board : High body temperature, Shortness of breath, Chest pain, etc…
    • Master should send all crew body temperature daily 72 hours and 48 hours prior to vessel’s arrival, then 12 hours prior.
    • Master should inform Agent about crew who has gone ashore during last 14 days prior to vessel’s arrival
  • Are there any restrictions on crew who embarked from COVID -19 high risk countries or specific nationalities?
    • Crew change permitted?
      • Yes, but subject to the following conditions
        • On signers/Visitors
        • Traveler will need to present a negative test carried out with a max 72hrs from the embarkation day.
        • 7 (Seven) days of quarantine compulsory after arriving in Tunisia (in special/dedicated Hotel)

    Flight Restrictions

    • Passengers entering or transiting through Tunisia must have
      • a negative COVID-19 PCR or RT-PCR test taken at most 48 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The test certificate must be in Arabic, English or French; or
      • a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken at most 24 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The test certificate must be in Arabic, English or French; or
      • a COVID-19 certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with
        • Janssen at least 28 days before arrival; or
        • AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), Covaxin, Covishield, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinovac, Sinopharm, Sputnik V and Sputnik Light at least 7 days before arrival. A combination of vaccines is accepted.
        • This does not apply to passengers younger than 18 years.
    • Passengers could be subject to quarantine for 5 days upon arrival.
      • This does not apply to
        • passengers with a COVID-19 certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated;
        • passengers younger than 18 years.
