Are there any restrictions on vessels whose previous port call was from COVID -19 high risk countries?
All vessels must present Medical Log Book and Record of Crew members’ body temperature in last 14 days. Crew has to complete a form in order to get the authorization to proceed and free pratique.
In the event that there is a suspected case, boarding of any port personnel will need to be authorized by Sanitary Authorities with the use of proper equipment. Only Sanitary personnel will board and will bring along a physician if necessary.
In the event that COVID-19 is ruled out by the boarding authorities, operations will proceed normally.
In the event that COVID-19 is not ruled out, samples will be collected, and no operations will be authorized until results are clear.
Pilots procedure: Vessels which have called at an at-risk port less than 14 days prior to arrival at Uruguay will be considered HIGH RISK.
Ships that have called China, South Korea, Singapore, Iran, Japan, Italy, Spain, France, Germany and/or USA must prove that there is a 14-day time gap before taking pilots at an Uruguayan pilot station.

Flight Restrictions
Passengers must have
a negative COVID-19 antigen or RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point; or
a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated; or
a positive COVID-19 antigen or RT-PCR test result issued at least 10 days and at most 90 days before arrival.
This does not apply to passengers younger than 6 years.
Passengers and airline crew must have health insurance to cover COVID-19 expenses.
This does not apply to nationals and residents of Uruguay.
